Creating an EQO Shortcut on your Samsung

To make a shortcut on a Samsung phone

Step 1: Click on “Menu”

Step 2: Click on “Settings”

Step 3: Click on “Phone Settings”

Step 4: Click on “Shortcuts”

Step 5: Select the navigation key that you want to use as your shortcut and scroll down the list. Click on “Java World” and press “Select” to confirm.

Step 6: Return to main screen and press the shortcut key that you assigned in Step 5 to open “Java World”, then “My Games”, then “EQO Mobile”.

These steps may vary depending on your specific phone model.

To make a shortcut on a Motorola phone

Step 1: Find EQO Mobile on your phone.

Step 2: Press and hold the “Menu” key for a few seconds.

Step 3: When asked if you want to add a shortcut for EQO Mobile on your phone click “yes”.

Step 4: Type in the “key” number that you want to use as your shortcut (ex. Key: 3)

Step 5: Return to main screen. Press “Menu” key and then the shortcut key that you assigned in Step 4 (ex. Key: 3)

Most Sony Ericsson phones that I have used do not allow you to make a shortcut for your applications. However, you can make a shortcut for the folder that contains EQO Mobile. This does make it easier to access the application.

To make a shortcut on a Sony Ericsson phone

Step 1: Click on “Menu”

Step 2: Click on “Settings”

Step 3: Click on “Shortcuts”

Step 4: Select the navigation key that you want to use as your shortcut (ex. Navig. key up)

Step 5: Highlight “File manager” and confirm your choice by clicking “Shortcut”

Step 6: Return to main screen and press the shortcut key that you assigned in Step 5 (ex. Navig. key up) to open “File manager”, then “Applications”, and then “EQO Mobile".

These steps may vary depending on your specific model.

Step 1: Click on “Menu”

Step 2: Click on “Tools”

Step 5: Click on “Standby Mode”

Step 6: Click on “Settings”

Step 7: Choose the selection/navigation key that you want to use as your shortcut (ex. Left selection key, Navigation key right)

Step 8: Click on your selection/navigation key of choice and scroll down the list. Click on “EQO Mobile” and press “OK” to confirm.

Step 9: Return to main screen and press the shortcut key that you assigned in Step 8 (ex. Left selection key, Navigation key right) to launch “EQO Mobile” application.

The steps may be a little different depending on your specific model...

Install in Phone Memory not Memory Card!

When installing EQO Mobile make sure to install into Phone Memory and not onto Memory Card! Some phones will not let you run EQO Mobile from the memory card at all because EQO Mobile tries to connect to the internet. Other phones will run EQO Mobile super slow or not connect to the EQO servers if installed on the Memory Card. If you are having any trouble at all, make sure you install EQO Mobile in Phone Memory please!

Nokia n85 EQO problem

i've manage to install EQO for my Nokia n85. When it runs the graphics are pixelated and not in order.I've tried off/on and run EQO it still remain the same. Anybody who owns Nokia N85 had the same issue/problem?

Hi, I recently purchased this Samsung F700 from a shop that sells unlocked overseas phones. I went on your website to tried and download EQO (mainly for AOL IM) but for some reason it's saying "unsupported content." What do I need to do to be able to install this link from the text message you guys sent me? Please help and this is very urgent in regards to being able to get AOL IM on my samsung F700.

SE w810, i tried to install via the jad file which i had on my mem card with the jar, it wouldnt install from the jad file "operation failed" was the error, but it did install from the jar no prob but then when i ran eqo it said no jad file blah blah, so i copied the jad into the FS of my fone tpa/preset/system/ams as thats where installed apps and games get placed, still did not work, deleted it all and put jad and jar on actual phone memory, install from jad worked np.

just thought id post this incase aqnyone else has problem with SE phone as i couldnt find any help on this particular issue anywhere on this site. so maybe this will help a.n other ;)

Hello,
I tried to download EQO on my mobile phone, but it gives me an error: "Application verification invalid! Inst. failed."
After that I downloaded it to my PC and transfered to the phone, but the error is the same.
My phone Siemens CX65 is in supported list.
Please I need help.

Can't update phone in account setting

I recently switched from a Nokia N80 to the E61i and can't change my phne in account setting. When I change it and click the "update" button it gives me the following message: "We're sorry, we are unable to process your payment at this time. Please contact us by clicking on the Support section of our website."

I was not trying to make a payment, I just want to update my phone so I can use EQO. Any help?

Odd start-up behavior on Nokia 7373 (s40 v3)

When firing up Eqo, I get the following error:

"EQO Mobile running, nothing to display"

This message stays on the screen for about half a second, and then the application boots as normal. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, rebooting the phone, etc - this is a persistant error.

Is there any reason for this or any way to remove this error message?

Installing EQO on i607 blackjack: already have ibm jvm

Hi,

I've been trying for some time to get a VOIP application running on either the Treo 650 or my (newer) i607 Blackjack.

I have read the posts on this forum and it appears it's possible even though the blackjack is not currently listed as a "supported" phone.

I have successfully installed the IBM JVM (v9) and can run the Google Maps application using it.

My question is: when i visit the get.eqo.com site, it asks me which model of phone and the i607 is not listed. I have tried several options but I keep getting the message: E"rror: the file cannot be viewed on the device".

What am i doing wrong?

I stupidly put the wrong phone number in when setting up the account, and there doesn't seem to be a facility to change that number in the account settings on the website. Not for me anyway, Firefox on Mac OSX 10.4.9. Plus because of this I haven't installed the client on the cellphone so I can't change the number there.

OK I've installed the application on the phone, SE K750i, by Bluetooth, but there is no option in settings to change the number. I'm concerned about security now as text messages will have been sent to the wrong number.
If it wasn't for this I'd scrap the whole idea of using this. I'm not convinced it's wholly fit for purpose just yet.

Installing EQO Mobile Onto Cingular Nokia E62

in the words of borat "Great Success!" many people have had trouble installing EQO mobile and many java apps on their cingular nokia e62's because of cingulars crippled firmware. there is a solution out there that will allow the phone to be more lenient of the java apps you can install, and also remove the "ask everytime" for network access, which was a huge annoyance to me. this solution requires about 30 minutes of your time, and is a complete reflash from your phone being a cingular e62 to an unbranded e62, which to me is a lot better. here are the steps from user loh on the cingular forums: 1) Download and install Nokia Software Updater (NSU) from: http://www.nokiausa.com/support/software/update_via_pc_1 IMPORTANT NOTE: Nokia Software Updater is very sensitive to software firewalls. During the many tests I have done, I found that I must completely disable software firewall, as granting full network access to (NSU_UI_CLIENT.EXE and NSL_HOST_PROCESS.EXE) was not enough to make NSU work. So, the bottom line is if you do not want an additional headache and want to receive quick results, then just temporarily disable software firewall before you run NSU in step 6). 2) Download and install Nemesis Service Suite (NSS) software in order to change the phone’s product code from here: http://www.b-phreaks.co.uk/files/NSS/NSS10387.zip 3) Now we are ready to change Cingular's Product Code to Unbranded US_Generic Nokia’s Product Code which will allow us to upload the original (not modified by Cingular) Nokia’s firmware in step 6). 3.1 Connect your phone to USB and choose "PC Suite" mode (same as if you always do when sync your phone); 3.2 Open NSS and click on “Scan for new device” button on the right-upper part of the window; 3.3 Click on the icon “Phone info”; 3.4 Click on “Scan” and wait until you get "...Done" in the status string at the bottom of NSS window; 3.5 Now, in a "Product Data Edit" window check "Enable" next to "Product Code" string and type the next code: 0524513. Then press "Write" button and wait until you get "...Done" in the status string at the bottom of the NSS window; 3.6 Press "Scan" button again (same as you did in 3.4) just to be sure you still can get "...Done" at the bottom of NSS window; 3.7 Right click on a small icon (located above "Device Info" button) and choose "close device"; 3.8 Now you can completely close NSS. We do not need it anymore. 4) Disconnect USB cable. 5) At this step we will reset the phone to the factory configuration: 5.1 On your phone press several times Red button, so to be sure you are in an "Idle Screen"; 5.2 Press * button 5.3 Press # button 5.4 Press 7 button 5.5 Press 3 button 5.6 Press 7 button 5.7 Press 0 button 5.8 Press # button At that point you will be asked if you want "Restore all original phone settings". Answer “Yes” and confirm the code (which is 12345 by default. Be careful and verify that you are typing a numbers, but not symbols). When you provided the right code, your phone will be restarted and you will be asked if to you want a read a tutorial. Answer “No” to save you some time. 6) Now we are ready to update our E62 to Unbranded US_Generic Nokia firmware. 6.1 Connect your phone to USB and choose "PC Suite" mode; 6.2 Connect your phone to a charger; 6.3 Run Nokia Software Updater (NSU); 6.4 Follow the prompts. At the point when NSU says that you already have the latest firmware and if you want to download it again, confirm it with checkmark and let NSU do its work; 6.5 After about 15 minutes, NSU will finish its work, reboot the phone and tell you that your phone software is updated and you are ready to go. 6.6 Close NSU window. Disconnect your phone from USB. 6.7 You should have Unbranded US_Generic Nokia firmware in your phone now. 7)Install EQO Mobile!
