Thanks for that! It all installed perfectly on my HTC Touch. Is there a list of what has changed anywhere? I can see a few cosmetic differences - such as it says v1.2.0 in the settings screen for example. So it says it's the new version...but what has actually changed? Or have I reinstalled the old version by accident??! Cheers R RE: HurrahSubmitted by chris on March 4, 2008 - 11:08am.
I'm glad you got the new version okay. I personally haven't been working on the Windows Mobile client, so I'm not super clear on what is new in this version, especially since the last version was released way back in October. I've request the big list and I will post it when I get it. Some of the things that are new: -support for call-back countries Chris Regarding this version ,itSubmitted by luojun927 on March 5, 2008 - 8:48pm.
Regarding this version ,it doesn't support to send instant message to offline contact, right? RE: Regarding this version ,itSubmitted by chris on March 6, 2008 - 10:24am.
No, you cannot send messages to offline contacts in this version. Would you like to be able to? Chris Yes,this is a goodSubmitted by luojun927 on March 6, 2008 - 7:24pm.
Yes,this is a good function。Because maybe sometime you would like to leave a message to your offline contact,or some time your friend just set his status "hidden",in this case we can't send them message, just waiting for them send to me first.I think it's easy for your group to achieve this function. RE: Yes,this is a goodSubmitted by chris on March 7, 2008 - 11:05am.
I agree with you. This is also something we allow in our J2ME version. I'll see if I can get this into the next version. Cheers and thanks for the suggestion, Chris WM version 1.2 on my HTC TyTNIISubmitted by charm54 on March 8, 2008 - 5:47am.
Hi Chris, A few issues i like to report: Some enhancement requests for the IM services: Regards, RE: WM version 1.2 on my HTC TyTNIISubmitted by chris on March 10, 2008 - 1:13pm.
Hi Edbert, thanks for the feedback. We've been having some trouble with our upgrades over old versions and I apologize that your settings were not saved. To address your concerns: 1. We import your local contacts into our app and we did not think it was right to allow deletion your phone contacts from our app. You should be able to delete EQO contacts. Thanks for the enhancement ideas. Both are features we are giving serious thought to. Cheers, Chris Cingular 8525 / HTC HermesSubmitted by heytretre on March 17, 2008 - 8:15am.

Thanks for the kind words and for the beautiful screenshots! We are very appreciative of the nice things you had to say and are really happy that you enjoy EQO so much. Indeed, we are considering many of the features you suggested. Sending media around and keeping track of friend profiles would be amazing. It is something I hope we can do sooner than later! If you have more info to share, please email me at beta@eqo.com. I may be able to hook you up with some EQO goodies. Cheers, Chris I just installed this on mySubmitted by atlbrent3 on March 18, 2008 - 10:54am.
I just installed this on my WM6 PPC-6700, i've tried at least 6 different instant messaging apps from other companies and the all have had issues that made me discontinue there use. I love EQO!, its perfect. One bit of functionality....i saw someone mention the ability to message offline contacts..this would be very helpful. Also...i have YET to see any AIM application be able to tell me when someone is IDLE...this is imperative to being able to tell if someone is available to talk to because 90% of people do not set away status. And...would it be possible to create a setting to remove the phone icon from the home screen plugin..i do not think i will be using this. Thanks! Thank you for the kind words! It's great to hear that you like our software and find it so useful for IM. Thank you also for your suggestions. We'll see what we can do about those, but sadly I can't make any promises. Chris I cannot connectSubmitted by rose88343 on March 19, 2008 - 2:14pm.
I have a HTCtouch dual/T mobile MDA touch plus pocket PC using windows mobile 6. Downloaded EQO sucessfully, first time i connected ok but then i got disconnected. I was able to connect again 2 more times but now it says connecting then goes offline. I then had arror '02' but then then that changed to 120007 (or something similar to that. Those errors have now gone. I have not been able to go online since. All it says is 'connecting'....nothing more. I have checked the TCP settings but they are all correct......Any tips? Re: I cannot connectSubmitted by atlbrent3 on March 20, 2008 - 8:33am.
rose88343: Have you tried to soft reset your phone and then relaunch the application? RE: I cannot connectSubmitted by chris on March 20, 2008 - 10:28am.
Thank you atbrent3 for your suggestion! Connection Error 02 means that EQO can't find a connection and 120007 means that your phone isn't resolving www.eqo.com, a strange problem indeed. In addition to a soft reset, try removing EQO completely and reinstalling fresh into phone memory. You can reinstall fairly easily from get.eqo.com on your mobile browser. Hello! I using this software and i like it! But i have some questions about EQO: 1) Why alert only by sound? for example very often many people can't rustle. For this can You make notification about new messenges from IM account by viration, by notif baloon and by LED-control (lamp at the PPC)? 2) Smileys a small (smal pictures) and the quantity of the smailey a very poor. What about animation on the smileys? 3)When click to "end chat" i see new screen with text "end chat with...(nick)". Can You make to disable with screen in the options? Becouse it is not conveniently 4)What about reading and writting personal status with icons in the all IM protocols? In particular in the ICQ 5)Why menu "about" is not in the program? Thanks for support! re: FutureSubmitted by peter on July 10, 2008 - 1:23pm.
Hi, These are some good suggestions. 1)You can turn off the sound in EQO by going Options, Settings, and then unselecting the "Play Audio Alerts?" setting. This should turn on vibrate mode. 2)I agree that our smiley collection is pretty small. We have done this to keep all of our versions as close to identical as possible and in the other versions of EQO we need the extra space that extra emoticons would take up. Perhaps we could add some more variety for our Windows Mobile version. 3)This message was put in to stop people from accidentally ending their chats--perhaps this could be made an option or taken out altogether. 4)Same as 2) above. 5)We used to have an "about", we moved that information to the Settings page. Scroll down to the bottom of that page to see the About. Thanks again for all the good feedback! Peter re: futureSubmitted by dimassss_88 on July 11, 2008 - 2:03am.
Hi, Peter! I'm glad that You very fast answer to me! 1) I turn off sound in the setting of EQO, but vibration don't work in the my PPC 2)4) But do You plan to make this and add a new functions in the future? or Do You work only to fix a bugs? 3) You should to made this an option, because some people need it 5)Ok, thanks, i don't see it. But there are not a info about nomber of version. I dowloaded EQO yesterday, but i don't know what kind this version. I think it 1.2, i right? - - - - - - 7) Can i change my name in the login? From "dimassss_88" for example to "D1m@s" Thanks! re: futureSubmitted by peter on July 11, 2008 - 2:45pm.
1) This is strange...it works on the PPCs that we have in the office. Which PPC do you have? Your English is better than my Russian! Cheers, Peter re: future & about free credits for inviteSubmitted by dimassss_88 on July 14, 2008 - 1:47am.
1) I have PPC GYGABYTE GSmart i128, it with GSM module I shall wait for new versions with new surprising functions! Thanks for your work! |ADD| I invited three new members, first - by WEB, and other - by EQO. They are connected to EQO. 24 hours have already passed, but i didn't get credits for invite, why? re: future & about free credits for inviteSubmitted by peter on July 14, 2008 - 4:13pm.
To get credit for the invite, your friend needs to click on the link in the invitation that you send them and sign up using the subsequent web page. If they did not click on the link, then you will not get the credit. Peter creditsSubmitted by dimassss_88 on July 15, 2008 - 2:25am.
I know it. They all opened the link, which get by sms. Then they registered and downloaded the program. After this they all installed it and connected to the You server in the EQO. I saw it. re: creditsSubmitted by peter on July 15, 2008 - 1:00pm.
I think the problem was that your invitees phone numbers did not get formatted into international format. I have amended your account. If you have any other issues like this, please email me at peter@eqo.com with all the details. make sure you enter the invitees number in international format or you will not get any credit for the invite. Peter thanks!Submitted by dimassss_88 on July 15, 2008 - 1:29pm.
thanks! In my opinion I entered number in international format, i forgot it. For Russia a phone with international code should write with plus or not? +7... or 7.... ? Thanks for Your job! re: thanks!Submitted by peter on July 15, 2008 - 2:34pm.
Enter the number with the + in front (i.e. +7). Peter Hi, I'm using EQO on my WM 6Submitted by highjumper on July 19, 2008 - 1:21pm.
Hi, I'm using EQO on my WM 6 Smartphone over our home WLAN, and it works like a dream. I tried to install it on my hp2790 (running WM 6), which doesn't have a phone function, only WiFi. It installs fine, but on starting the app I get the "The file 'EQOMobile' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found..." error message. I tried installing from both cab and exe, and also resetted the device. Any ideas? Thanks! re: Hi, I'm using EQO on my WM 6Submitted by dimassss_88 on July 19, 2008 - 2:00pm.
Hi! Do You try a version for WM 6 Smartphone Edition? Before runing EQO try to enable WI-FI module and to connect to the Internet. May be it helps to You. Also You can try java version of EQO. Why all .cabs same version WM differed in the size?Submitted by dimassss_88 on July 20, 2008 - 7:19am.
Hello! I downloaded some times for two weeks the same version (PocketPC WM) and each time a file .cab differed in the size in greater party. After installation I have noticed that files .exe and .dll became slightly more in the sizes from the previous uploadings. Why the size of the same versions different? In fact the version did not change re: Why all .cabs same version WM differed in the size?Submitted by peter on July 28, 2008 - 4:56pm.
The latest version of EQO for Windows Mobile is 1.6.1. We released this on the 18th of July. We also released 1.6.0 on the 10th of July--however the version number never got changed (which probably accounts for your confusion--sorry). Peter |
