Unable to enter usernames with underscores on Treo 680
Submitted by mad_gerry on May 11, 2007 - 10:33am.
The username I tend to use contains an underscore. However, on a Treo 680 EQO doesn't pop up the alternate list of letters (on the S) to let me choose an underscore.. How can I enter this? Thanks, Holger Trackback URL for this post:http://community.eqo.com/trackback/842

Did you try the back dot key, then the 's' key and then the alt key? Peter re: underscoreSubmitted by mad_gerry on May 12, 2007 - 9:50am.
Hi Peter, Thanks.. should have added that I had tried this and only a question mark is shown when I press the ALT key. The dash remains.. Holger RE: re: underscoreSubmitted by chris on May 14, 2007 - 10:05am.
Unfortunately I don't have a Treo 680 in front of me to figure this one out, only a Treo 650. On the Treo 650 you press alt, shift, and s. Peter had this problem before and the guy managed to sort it out, shame Peter's on vacation right now and I can't access his archives. This is the best I can offer: Chris Thanks Chris, UnfortunatelySubmitted by mad_gerry on May 16, 2007 - 8:42am.
Thanks Chris, Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work on the Treo680. After a few attempts it crashed EQO.. :-( Holger RE: Thanks Chris, UnfortunatelySubmitted by chris on May 16, 2007 - 9:30am.
Sorry to hear that, I assume that there needs to be an updated JVM to fix some of these small bugs on the Treo 680. I'm sorry to say I can't find any information about it. To help solve the crash problem, find IBM Java VM under Other in the Treo prefs and enable double buffering, that and ensuring memory allocations are maxed out can really help. Chris |
