too expensive for IM messages or not?
Submitted by arvinaty on December 19, 2007 - 3:44am.
Hello, I live in Russia and i'm a new EQO member. So far Russia's not a part of EQO system (which i hope will be fixed someday =)) but i thought it was a good idea to contact my ICQ and MSN friends via EQO. I installed the program and everything worked perfectly well except one thing: i only sent a few IMs to a friend when i ran out of money on my account. 1 mgb aprox costs 0.28 euros After i downloaded EQO and sent a few IMs i checked my account, it was 1 euro less. Hi Victoria, Thank you for your comments! We are planning on expanding the EQO network into Russia in the very, very near future. The amount of data that you used is not at all what I would expect. The EQO file is about 250 KB, so downloading that would account for .25 MB. Signing on to EQO takes about 2-3 KB. Your IM session should have only used about 1-2 KB (depending on the length of the chat and the number of contacts in your IM list). At the very most, all told, I could see your carrier charging you for 300 KB (for download, a few connections, and some IM). But you were charged for ten times this amount. Could you please try one more IM session and see how much you are charged for that? This way we could see IM on its own (without the download). Peter |
