Support for Treo 680

Does the current version of EQO supports Treo 680? Has anyone successfully using EQO on Treo 680?

RE: Support for Treo 680

We have not tested EQO Mobile on the Treo 680, but if you'd like to give it a shot go ahead and download the version of EQO Mobile for the Treo 650 or Treo 700p. Let us know how it goes and if we can help you out at all.

Treo 680 crashes on connecting

I tried the version for treo 650 and it crashes the device on connecting.

What version of the WM

What version of the WM software is loaded on the Treo 650? If it is WM2003, you're probably going to experience issues. Just wait for the WM version to come out. I'm sure you'll have better luck. I'm getting nowhere with my i930.

RE: What version of the WM

The Treo 680 runs the Palm OS, unlike other Treos such as the 700w and 750 that run Windows Mobile 5 PocketPC Phone Edition. While there will be a WM version coming out sooner than later, we will not be supporting Palm going forward until we can do it natively. The JVM for Treo is less than stellar, much less...

RE: Treo 680 crashes on connecting

Unfortunately the JVM for Treo is quite poor and I apologize for that. We released EQO Mobile for the Treo due to large demand by Treo users, but it didn't quite work out the way anyone wanted it to. We won't be supporting Palm OS Treo devices going forward until we can write native code, no more JVM.

In the meantime, you can improve JVM performance and hopefully solve your problem by increasing memory allocation. Please open up the IBM Java VM settings in your Treo Prefs under Other. Make sure you max out the memory allocation and enable double buffering. I hope this helps, let me know if I can be of further assistance.
