Odd start-up behavior on Nokia 7373 (s40 v3)
Submitted by lirontocker on August 6, 2007 - 1:19pm.
When firing up Eqo, I get the following error: "EQO Mobile running, nothing to display" This message stays on the screen for about half a second, and then the application boots as normal. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, rebooting the phone, etc - this is a persistant error. Is there any reason for this or any way to remove this error message? Thanks, Trackback URL for this post:http://community.eqo.com/trackback/962

Hi Liron, Did you install the program on your memory card? Make sure that it is saved on your phone's memory and not your memory card. Cheers, Peter re: Odd start-up behavior on Nokia 7373Submitted by peter on August 8, 2007 - 12:17pm.
Liron, It appears that this annoying message is a S40 3rd edition specific bug. I think the phone is expecting the application to start faster than it actually does. We will look into trying to get rid of this message. Thanks for reporting it! Cheers, Peter Hi Peter, Thanks for yourSubmitted by lirontocker on August 9, 2007 - 1:04pm.
Hi Peter, Thanks for your reply. Indeed, the problem persists when the application is installed to the phone memory, so I trust you're right when you say it's a specific bug. Any note on when the upcoming build of Eqo will be? Thanks, re: Hi Peter, Thanks for yourSubmitted by peter on August 9, 2007 - 2:54pm.
Hi Liron, I have logged this message as a bug for our developers to fix, but honestly I think that it is a pretty low priority. I saw what you witnessed on our Nokia 6133--but the message only appears for a second, if that, and then disappears. I'll let you know when we release a version that fixes this issue. Peter |
