"Number not recognized" error message

and it continues: "Please reenter the number again including country code.

Sofar I've only attempted to dial Holland, country code 31, and I'm assuming that the format should be a continuous string of 31+areacode+phonenumber but this is not doing the trick. Please advise what to do.

re: "number not recognized"

Try entering the exit code for your country first. That is, dial as you would dial using a landline to call Holland.

it gets worse

RFvV/NYC

So this Am I tried to follow your advice for a call to Oz - 011 61 43 xxx yyyy - somewhere in Queensland.

In anycase, when I try to place that call it asks me do I want to call 12123656879 - some number in NYC - where I am located. and if I leave off the 011 I get the error described above. This all does not make any sense to me???

well in any case, that worked finally, though it was very disconcerting to see this NY number pop up on my screen.

re: it gets worse

Agreed, perhaps our messaging should be changed so that it is clear when you are calling our local NYC number you are really calling long distance.

"Number not recognized"

I am getting this error when I try calling to any number in Mexico. Also, when calling from Mexico to a US phone number automatically the phone dials to a mexican phone number.

re: number not recognized

Hello,

I am looking into your calling problems within Mexico. However, for your international calls, your phone will dial our local access number in Mexico. Then we will carry your calls over the internet to the international destination. Please try calling a few more international numbers. Allow the application to call the Mexican access number.

Cheers,
