Not connecting

Hi
Iam newly joined from Qatar - the Middle East.
From my mobile I can not connect to EQO.
It is says Connection Error No. 2
Could not connect EQO servers.

Pls help what to do?

Connection problem

I have GPRS Connection and MMS and Web enabled by our service Provider -Q-Tel. wap.mozaic.qa

I am connecting to othr sites and gmail.

hope you can rectify the problem?

Try to create a new access point in your phone using these settings:

Access Point Name: gprs.qtel
Username: gprs
Password: gprs

Connection Settings from Nokia

Since you both have Nokia phones you can try downloading your connection settings directly from Nokia themselves. They have this handy tool on the internet:

Please try their auto configurator and let us know if you continue to have problems.

Which settings did you try?

You need to grab the Internet ones and not the WAP/GPRS ones.

Thanks for reply.
I tried first GPRS setting.
But now I tried Internet settings also.
When we connect it goes to wap.mozaic.qa page which is the
Qatar's mozaic mobile portal.
When we start internet connection in Nokia 6280, we can not go to Other application like EQO - or I dont know if this works together.

Please explain .....

I quit this connection and start EQO application, after user name & password entry. Connection Error Message coming "Connection Error 02, Couldnt connect to EQO servers, please try again"

I am not sure how to get around this...but, according to Q-tel's web site, http://www.qtel.com.qa/mobileinternetfaq.do, you may need to send them a text with the word 'all' to 2072, to enable your phone for the Internet settings.

Hello Afthar,

Peter is on vacation this week, lucky bastard. I don't know why EQO won't connect on your phone when you have the correct settings. What settings do you use to connect to the internet and have you used any other apps that require connectivity? The only guess I have is that maybe your connection settings for Java apps are somehow different. Have you looked at Peter's connection tips for S40 phones?

Connection Problem.

Iam connecting through Qtel web portal - wap.mozaic.qa

I can browse pages, download music, tones, all.

Java online programs that required net work access Iam not using at present.
Iam using games and all on phone only.

I am afraid that EQO will not work through Qtel's WAP portal. We need full access to the internet. Unless you can get that from Qtel, I don't think that we can help you.

Can you check inside your Web Sessions menu and tell me what internet settings you are using?

Also, who is your mobile carrier?
