The writing language, when I write instant messages e.g., is alwasy set to turkish. How can I change that, since the language of my phone and the language I wanna write in is english? Trackback URL for this post:http://community.eqo.com/trackback/879

Hi, This sounds like a phone setting and not a application setting. Maybe you have a Turkish phone? Anyways, you can change the language settings on your phone by selecting 'Menu' , then 'settings', then 'phone', then 'phone language'. Let me know how that goes! The turkish appears within EQO. Does not appear in normal phone use eg sms when set in engish mode. Particularly the ghi key. re: Nokia 6230iSubmitted by peter on June 12, 2007 - 9:56am.
This looks like a bug with your phone--where the phone always defaults the writing language to Turkish. Nokia might have a firmware upgrade for this. Let me know if you find anything else about this bug. Peter I have the same problem andSubmitted by dlinsin on August 23, 2007 - 8:53pm.
I have the same problem and it only appears with eqo! All my other Java ME application, e.g. gmail, get the language correctly! The most annoying part of this eqo bug is that the language is set phone-wide. So if I exit eqo the language is still set! OK David, I will reopen this bug with our development with the additional info that you have provided. Hopefully it helps. Cheers, Peter |
