Moto Q - logged in but cannot download mobile client
Submitted by rbusfield on December 29, 2006 - 7:37am.
I get to http://www.eqo.com/a and get logged in on my Moto Q but I get this message: EQO Communications The capabilities of your phone and / or service provider limit you to using EQO services only via your mobile phone browser. Please go to http://www.eqo.com/mp. How can I get the client apps on my Q? Trackback URL for this post:http://community.eqo.com/trackback/724

rbusfield, The reason EQO isn't working on your phone is that your carrier, Verizon, mainly supports the BREW platform -- and EQO Mobile is a J2ME application. Because of this, we can only support two phones on the Verizon network (the i930 and the mpx220). Peter VerizonSubmitted by rbusfield on December 31, 2006 - 1:10pm.
I have IBM J2ME installed. Is it still not possible? Moto Q on VerizonSubmitted by peter on January 2, 2007 - 9:08am.
rbusfield, Currently, we don't formally support the Motorola Q, as these models don't usually have a JVM. But, try changing your carrier info on your account page from Verizon to Cingular Wireless. Since the Q is not listed for Cingular either, choose the MPx220. Then log on to http://www.eqo.com/a on your phone and see what happens. Let me know if this works! I tried that and still get same error. Please just post the download links to .jar files. re: I tried that and still getSubmitted by peter on February 26, 2007 - 9:40am.
Hi David, I've sent you the files. Let me know if it works out for you. Peter Peter, I also own a MotorolaSubmitted by bchow on June 26, 2007 - 9:40am.
Peter, I also own a Motorola Q. Could you send me the EQO client? I have the IBM JVM running on my Q. Thanks. Billy re: Peter, I also own a MotorolaSubmitted by peter on June 26, 2007 - 9:46am.
Hello Billy, Although we don't officially support any Windows Mobile devices for our latest release (support is on the way!), you could get the .JAD and .JAR files sent to you by signing up for an EQO account and selecting any J2ME phone on our supported phones list. Peter, I couldn't download the eqo.zip file. The link contains ERROR? For example, I was trying to download: https://www.eqo.com/subprov/thank_you.php?sms=1&zip=ERROR:EQO.zip and Firefox and IE aren't able to download because it doesn't understand the protocol (ERROR). Help. Billy Re: Moto QSubmitted by peter on June 26, 2007 - 1:11pm.
Billy, Log in to your account and select a phone. Any phone. And then try again. Let me know if that works. Also, How did you manage to skip step 2 of the sign up process? Peter |
