More Nokia E62 problems
Submitted by flyinace09 on November 28, 2006 - 10:19pm.
Seems like I bought a phone that doesn't like to make life easy in the beginning... lol. I signed up, and tried using the www.eqo.com/a link and the text message link sent to me with no luck. The phone downloads all of a 159Kb file, then says "Authorization failed". I have read previous topics here and have changed the download option to "all" in the Apps Manager and downloaded the Nokia Firmware Updater just to find out that I bought one with the latest firmware already on it. Any other way to get the software onto this blasted phone? Trackback URL for this post:http://community.eqo.com/trackback/693

This is THE Nokia E62 problem, for Cingular branded Nokia E62's that is. Cingular has altered the ROM of their Nokia E62's not allow the installation of non-Cingular signed J2ME applications. I'm sorry to say you are out of luck for now, there isn't anything we can do about this. Chris I have the same problem withSubmitted by phoenyx on March 15, 2007 - 5:42am.
I have the same problem with my Cingular branded E62. I know the .jad links to the .jar via the data connection, but has anyone tried to install the .jar directly from their PC to get around the Cingular E62 Problem? I don't know if it would work, but it's worth a try. [edit] It doesn't work. re: i have the same problemSubmitted by peter on March 15, 2007 - 4:48pm.
