How to change your Internet Connection Settings (Nokia Series 40)
Submitted by peter on August 31, 2007 - 11:01am.
Sometimes mobile phone carriers automatically set up your phone's access point to the Internet, and sometimes you have to do this manually. This is not a fun thing to do without instructions. Here are my instructions for the Nokia 6230i (these steps can be easily adapted to most Nokia S40 edition phones): How to change your Internet Connection Settings (Nokia): 1)From the Menu screen select Settings. 2)Select Configuration. 3)Select Personal Configuration Settings. 4)Select Options. 5)Select Add new (Access Point). 6)Now you will be able to enter the name of your carrier. 7) Then select Access Point Settings. 8)Ensure that the Data Bearer is set to GPRS. 9)Then Select Bearer Settings. 10)And the rest of the important details*: 11)Access Point: 12)Username: 13)Password: 14) make sure that you set this access point to be your Preferred Access point. You are now all set to access the Internet with the access point EQO. When you launch EQO, make sure that you select the access point EQO. If you need more help, send me an e-mail at peter@eqo.com. (*If you don't know any of these details, don't worry, because no one does...check out the list that we have compiled on our website: http://www.eqo.com/apn.php) Peter Trackback URL for this post:http://community.eqo.com/trackback/990
