If you enter your fully qualified jabber id (including "@host.com" or the like) and password you should be able to connect to the jabber server of your choice. Have you tried this? Chris I TrySubmitted by sky12 on November 20, 2006 - 10:38pm.

Please try to connect to your jabber server using the GAIM client. GAIM is our interface to Jabber. If you can't connect through their client then there is nothing we can do for you. Chris RE: I haveSubmitted by chris on November 21, 2006 - 3:20pm.
We've tested EQO Mobile with many open jabber servers, most notably from this list: http://www.jabber.org/user/publicservers.shtml I'm not sure why EQO Mobile can't connect to your particular server. What is jabber id with your jabber server? Chris Re:Submitted by chris on November 22, 2006 - 10:59am.
One of our Russian employees signed up for an account with your server and we could not login via EQO Mobile either. Are you sure that your server is purely jabber? We didn't seem to think it was. Chris RE: It based on a Wildfire 3.1.1 server :)Submitted by chris on November 23, 2006 - 9:22am.
Well there's your problem, we don't support that server type with EQO Mobile. Sorry. Chris reSubmitted by chris on November 24, 2006 - 9:55am.
MSN, Yahoo!, AIM, ICQ, Google Talk, and Jabber. We've tested many of these Jabber servers and we can use them with EQO Mobile: http://www.jabber.org/user/publicservers.shtml Chris How can I connect to different Jabber serversSubmitted by smmehta on February 14, 2008 - 10:17am.
I see a comment that full name including host name. Wjat is the username is an e-mail? How does that work? Also is there a way to give a different port number? Thanks. RE: How can I connect to different Jabber serversSubmitted by chris on February 14, 2008 - 2:02pm.
The full name including host name should end up looking like an email address. For example, chris@jabber.com might be my jabber id. Sadly there is no way to give a different port number with EQO. I hope that helps. Chris |
