How can I change my phone number
Submitted by datasmog on May 25, 2007 - 4:45am.
I stupidly put the wrong phone number in when setting up the account, and there doesn't seem to be a facility to change that number in the account settings on the website. Not for me anyway, Firefox on Mac OSX 10.4.9. Plus because of this I haven't installed the client on the cellphone so I can't change the number there. OK I've installed the application on the phone, SE K750i, by Bluetooth, but there is no option in settings to change the number. I'm concerned about security now as text messages will have been sent to the wrong number. Trackback URL for this post:http://community.eqo.com/trackback/871

Hi, We have disabled the facility for users to change their phone number as an anti-fraud measure. Send me an e-mail at support@eqo.com with your EQO id and your real phone number and I'll change it for you. Cheers, Peter Change my phone numberSubmitted by firdausi on November 16, 2008 - 11:04am.

Attention all users, We do not change numbers on accounts that have JUST signed up. This is to help prevent fraudulent accounts. If you have signed up a new account and incorrectly entered your number, we suggest signing up a new account. For those users that have used the application on their device, your status will change in our system. From this we can confirm that your account is valid. After this point, we can update your number. However, there are requirements that have to be met. 1) You need to send all requests from the email address that is linked to your account. If you aren't sure what it is, simply log in to your account at www.eqo.com and proceed to the "Account Settings" page. 2) You can also log in to our online ticketing system at https://www.eqo.com/support. This will automatically confirm your ownership of the account. These steps are in place for your security. Your account information will not be changed or provided to any request that is not from two options outlined above. Best regards, Anthony |
