EQO Rates
Submitted by chris on May 22, 2007 - 8:45pm.
EQO Mobile requires EQO Credits to do things like call regular landlines and mobile phone numbers and offline EQO users. EQO Mobile also requires EQO Credits to send SMS text messages to offline EQO users and to mobile numbers. You can purchase more EQO Credit by logging into your account at www.eqo.com. We'll be posting PayPal tips and payment walk-throughs as soon as we get a chance. Check current EQO Out rates here. Please let us know if you have any other questions pertaining to EQO Rates, PayPal, or EQO Credit Consumption. We are always here waiting to answer your questions! Chris

EQO RatesSubmitted by ricardo.parra on May 26, 2007 - 2:27am.
Hello, Chris, this is Ricardo, I'm a new EQO user. I have a doubt, maybe it can be a little stupid, but I can't still believe it's true. The rate for, for example, calls from Spain to United Kingdom for land lines is... 1.7 cents per minute or 1.7 euros per minute? That's because I can't believe that the calls for land lines are so cheap, that would be great!!! Thank you very much for your help Best regards Ricardo re: EQO RatesSubmitted by peter on May 28, 2007 - 10:58am.
Hi Ricardo, Your eyes do not deceive you! 1.7 cents is the correct rate for calls from Spain to UK landlines. Let me know if you require any more information. Cheers, Peter That's Euros!Submitted by chris on May 28, 2007 - 11:15am.
Hello Ricardo, Yes, that is in Euros, not dollars! Chris free EQO callsSubmitted by byza-byza on July 5, 2007 - 4:10am.
hello, I have got this question. Are really the calls from EQO user to another EQO (inside the country,no international calls) user for free? Or do I pay according to my rate of my mobile operater?Or do I pay for data only? Thanks for reply! re: free EQO callsSubmitted by christine_eqo on July 5, 2007 - 9:05am.
Hi there, Thanks for contacting us! To answer your question, EQO is a combination of a traditional phone call and a VoIP call. What this means is that when you make a phone call with EQO, the application dials a local access number which then passes your call over the internet to the international number that you’re calling. In this way, you are making an international call but paying only for local minutes and data to your carrier. When an online EQO user calls another online EQO user, they will not be charged any fees from EQO (hence “free”) but will be using local airtime and a minimal amount of data. I hope this helps to answer your question. Please let me know if I can do anything else to help. Kind regards, Christine Nudge costSubmitted by cmeechan on July 6, 2007 - 2:54am.
Hi, New user and also evaluating for a friend in France who may use a French SIM and EQO. If I were to nudge a sleeping EQO mobile in the UK from a French phone I understand it sends a text. Would that be charged at the French text rate (ie Orange in this case, and not the 7.5p EQO text equivalent) to the UK, or is 'nudging' part of the EQO package in some way? Also, I'm presuming that the text just says 'turn EQO on'. If that doesn't happen (user is in a meeting or whatever) it's a wasted text cost. The free mobile to mobile element of EQO has the most appeal for international calling. Yet if it's so dependent on two EQO users being 'awake', I wonder if nudging should not be a free option, if it isn't already. I understand you guys have to make a profit from certain calls – but nudging is may not be the place to do it?? Thanks. RE: Nudge costSubmitted by chris on July 6, 2007 - 9:15am.
Hello Sir, Nudges are indeed free, so no worries there! We're sorry we didn't make this more clear and will work on informing our users of this EQO benefit. Thanks for the feedback and please feel free to let us know if you have anymore questions. Chris EQO RatesSubmitted by maxspa on August 7, 2007 - 7:33am.
Hi Chris, Should I calc the rate as an Italy to Italy mobile or as an Italy to Cuba mobile? Thanks in advance RE: EQO RatesSubmitted by chris on August 7, 2007 - 9:10am.
Hello Massimo, If you are in Italy and are calling an Italian mobile number, then you'll be paying for an Italian Mobile to Italian Mobile call. Let us know if you have any other questions. Cheers, Chris Hello, I go 3 months withSubmitted by leo_javi on September 6, 2007 - 12:44am.
Hello, I go 3 months with the account eqo, for 15 days I have no balance and it does not allow me to recharge the account. re: Hello, I go 3 monthsSubmitted by peter on September 6, 2007 - 9:27am.
I have responded to your request via our secure ticketing system. You should be good to go! Cheers, Peter IM = SMS?Submitted by kumirauf on November 19, 2007 - 2:19pm.
Greetings. First of all, EQO is an amazing app so far on my 8800. I have 1 question (so far), do my IM messages cost 1 text message from my carrier to/from each time I send? Thanks. re: IM = SMS?Submitted by peter on November 19, 2007 - 3:53pm.
Nope...IM messages are sent and received over the internet. No text messages are involved in the process. Thanks for the kind words! Cheers, Peter Rates CalculatorSubmitted by djeyar on January 14, 2008 - 3:10am.

I'm not sure I understand this change: Do I understand something wrong? I hope so... Greetings from Croatia RE: EQO free callsSubmitted by chris on February 4, 2008 - 1:45pm.
I'm sorry to say that EQO to EQO calls are no longer free. We've decided to make EQO to EQO calls 50% off, which we think is a better choice for all involved when contrasted with us going out of business. We apologize for the inconvenience. Hi Chris, RE: Loing problem persistsSubmitted by chris on February 12, 2008 - 11:34am.
I just found out that we are blocking some Russian users because of malicious hackers abusing our service in your area. I apologize that the actions of a few bad eggs are affecting your use of our service. We are implementing some security measures and hope to restore service in the next few days. We apologize for the inconvenience. Chris Log in prob & invitation credit probSubmitted by got2be on February 12, 2008 - 4:28pm.

Hello Sir, Like I said above, our service has been blocked in your area because of abuse issues. My promo code has also been disabled. I am wondering what you need my promo code for once you are already signed up? Also, I checked your email address and it seems that there are quite a few EQO accounts using it. I apologize if I am accusing you falsely, but might you be one of the people abusing our service? If so, shame on you sir. Hey there i have some questions : ) 1) 2)that would cost me a call to my normal network ----> 3) 4) 5) 6) Thanks for reading my crappy questions :D bye Marcel : ) RE: Calls and text messagesSubmitted by chris on February 18, 2008 - 11:11am.
Hello Marcel, we are happy to answer any questions you might have: 1. EQO does not carry voice over the data network. For an EQO to EQO call you will not use any KB, but will use local voice minutes. 2. It would cost you a call at your local rate plus the EQO to EQO rate, but not any data. Data required to setup a call would be much less than a KB. 3. Just what we charge for an EQO Out SMS message and a small amount of data, less than a KB. 4. Less than a KB, probably 200 to 400 bytes depending on how long a message you write. 5. Less than a KB, depends on how many EQO contacts you have. 6. There is a data counter already under Options-> Settings, please check it out. Cheers, Chris Call back problemSubmitted by chintoo1 on February 26, 2008 - 10:43am.
