If you are trying to connect to EQO and you receive a connection error message, then you might be confused about why you can't connect. Hopefully this connection guide helps.

Go to Nokia, https://nokiags.wdsglobal.com/standard?siteLanguageId=118, and have the "Internet" settings sent to your phone for free. Let me know if that helps. Peter connection errorSubmitted by mb212 on January 5, 2008 - 11:26pm.

Another user with a similar problem/phone has suggested that you try the WAP access point at the first prompt and then the GPRS access point at the second prompt: http://community.eqo.com/forum/nokia_6120_classic#comment-2766 Give it a try and let me know if that works. My phone is the BlackBerry pearls, APN settings is "cmwap" , my cell phone operator is China Mobile. RE: 05 - “Connection attempt timed out, please try again.”Submitted by chris on January 21, 2008 - 12:30pm.
We are having a bit of trouble with cmwap. Turns out this connection needs a proxy. We've implemented a means of connecting via proxy and the client is being tested in our QA now. It will be released shortly. Please upgrade your client in a few days. You should then be able to connect using CMWAP. Chris need helpSubmitted by kaydet on February 12, 2008 - 7:59pm.

Hi, Could you please explain how this is happening and resolve this issue. I am in Qatar and Iam using web from Internet. Rgds, Siru RE: Connection ProblemSubmitted by chris on February 25, 2008 - 3:38pm.
We are slated to release the next Symbian version shortly. Version 1.2.1 should do away with the crashes you are experiencing. Make sure you remove the previous version of EQO from your phone completely and download the new version into phone memory (definitely not memory card) from get.eqo.com/symbian on your mobile browser. You could also try our J2ME version, which is currently much more stable than our Symbian beta. That is available from get.eqo.com on your mobile browser. These errors mean that EQO cannot find the appropriate connection. Please use this site from Nokia to auto configure your connection settings: https://nokiags.wdsglobal.com/standard?siteLanguageId=118 Chris RE: connection error 2 and 5Submitted by johnc.limpin on March 11, 2008 - 2:47am.
i already send the appropriate settings from the nokia website. i found out that, you should have enough load on your cellphone to connect to eqo via gprs, even wlan internets. RE: RE: connection error 2 and 5Submitted by chris on March 11, 2008 - 10:24am.
Yes, EQO can connect using GPRS and wifi. It sounds like you now have the correct settings on your phone. When you start EQO on the Nokia N70 it should give you a list of Access Points to choose from. Which ones have you tried? I recommend trying some others. Chris doesn't connectSubmitted by gangalee on March 20, 2008 - 4:21pm.
I'm using a gprs simcard from Cable & Wireless, there's no username or password and the apn is "internet". The app is installed but never connects. re: doesn't connectSubmitted by peter on March 20, 2008 - 4:59pm.
Hello, Try changing the apn to “wap” and see if that helps at all. Peter |
