RE: Can't connect

Try making EQO go offline and then select "Options" -> "Settings" and then make sure that the "Use TCP (best) connection" box is NOT selected (no check mark). After that, try connecting to EQO again.

Please let me know how this works out for you, and if I can do anything else to help!

same with 9300

I have a nokia 9300 with telering in Austria. I have the same problem an d your solution didn't work.
The web access works for ICQs official symbian client, Jimm, Gmail, Google maps, Opera mini and the built-in web-browser and email client

Did you install it with the

Did you install it with the JAD file or just the jar?
You need to do it with the JAD!

I first ignored the jad and got a connection error. Then I reinstalled it correctly and now it works.
But since you are from Austria, I'd like to hear whether it works. When you do a call, EQO wants to call 0720880001 to route it via this number, unfortunately my phone provider seems to block it and I've read that 4zu0 does not count 0720 as "festnetz" anyway. There is a workaround though, that could work with a little assistance from EQO, I made a post on that in the country support topic.

I can't connect

Hi

I have a Nokia 6280 with Vodafone in Spain.
After install the programme (from the address www.eqo.com) with the phone. I can open teh application but when it tries to connect (EQO is blinking) it can not and just tell me to look in help section.
I try with starting with on line mode activated and not.
And also with TCP (best) connection on and off.

re: I can't connect

Hi willyf,

When you try to connect to EQO Mobile, which Access Points can you choose from and which one do you select?

Also, do you have a data plan?

Hi. Unfortunately it doesn't

Hi.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. The post is for N95 which has a different menu than 6280, but even selecting user and password I have for EQO or the one default by vodafone (vodafone, vodafone)it gave the same mistake and none of the cases gave a password error.

Thanks for help.
It is strange it keeps no connecting as I can access to Internet normally.
José Antonio.

Hi José, I suspect that

Hi José,

I suspect that since Jajah and EQO aren't able to connect right now that this may be a problem on Vodafone's side.

I will keep looking into the problem for you. Please let me know if you find any more information.

blackberry 8300 connection problem on rogers wireless

installation completed successfully but when i launch the app for the first time i get the following message: EQO has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy. from what i can see i haven't restricted EQO at all? any suggestions?

re: BlackBerry 8300 firewall problem

Hi,

This standard BlackBerry error message: "The application has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT Policy" is sometimes caused by a setting in the IT Policy on your BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) called "Allow Split Pipe Connections". This IT Policy setting prevents applications from switching between TCP/IP and MDS connections.

Try this:

1. Open the BlackBerry Manager.
2. On the Tree tab, right-click the BlackBerry Enterprise Server server and select IT Policy.
3. Click Edit when the IT Policy settings for BlackBerry Server window appears.
4. Select the Allow Split Pipe Connections checkbox when the Edit Policy window appears.
5. Click OK.

Let me know how that goes.

I get the same problem (firewall) but i do not use an enterprise solution ! and its very frustrating, have changed the apn also as recommended

suggestions please !!

re: 8800 on Airtel INDIA

If you are not on a BES, I would recommend removing EQO from your BlackBerry and reinstalling from http://get.eqo.com on your BlackBerry browser.

re: 8800 on Airtel INDIA

One more thing you could try is to uninstall EQO and then reinstall from http://get.eqo.com on your BlackBerry browser.

but when i am contect in it its apeare an error and i must pay 0.5 i think
help pls

RE: msn?

What error are you getting and who is your mobile service provider? Once you connect to EQO you should be able to sign into MSN by scrolling over to the IM tab, selecting MSN, and then entering your account details.
