any more news on tmobilewebplus ?

Hi ! Eqo seems like a tremendous app - from doing search on earlier forums, I see that there was a problem with using port 8080 and thus allowing use of tmobilewebplus plan. Is there any update/change on this front ? All best, -g.

RE: Any more news on tmobilewebplus ?

I'm not sure what you mean by port 8080, because EQO doesn't use this port. However, EQO only still works with the full T-Mobile internet plan, which is unlimited and very expensive. I'm surprised they don't offer a cheaper option. Oh well, we are still working on ways to get EQO onto phones with just http internet connections, but have not made any plans to release just yet. Thank you for your patience.

tmobile's cheap plan proxies

tmobile's cheap plan proxies the web through 8080 hence my mention of that port (as 80 and others are not directly open). For the most part, it's a pretty decent plan at only 5 bucks a month - the full internet plan is really too expensive to justify I think for most folks.... Would be wonderful if somehow eqo could somehow work through tm proxying!

RE: tmobile's cheap plan proxies

I see what you mean now and I definitely agree with you. They are ways to get around the closed door of TM, but the solutions are neither elegant nor practical. We'll do what we can, stay tuned please.
