New Motorola Phones Now Supported

Hello MotoRecently, we've had several e-mails asking us to support new Motorola phones. Well, we've now decided to let these eager beavers become intrepid beta-testers (like the rest of the EQO community). We are also extending this opportunity to anyone else who wants to try out EQO Mobile on their Motorola RIZR Z3, KRZR K1, RAZR Maxx, or A1200 Ming. If you are already an EQO user, you can change your phone details on your account page. If you are not an EQO user, you should probably sign up. So if Santa Claus gave you a shiny new Motorola RIZR Z3, KRZR K1, RAZR Maxx, or an A1200 Ming for Christmas, try out EQO Mobile and let me know how it works out for you at peter@eqo.com.

How to get A1200 Ming version?

I gather from this blog and a couple of forum posts that the A1200 Ming is now supported, but it doesn't appear in the list of Mot phones on my account page... Where do I get the A1200 version?

Thx

A1200 Ming is now truly supported!

eqospeagles2,

Sorry about that...it appears I jumped the gun by a day. However, the A1200 Ming, along with the other Motorolas I previously mentioned, are now truly available for your selection on the accounts page. Let me know how it works for you!

Peter,

Peter,
I've just installed EQO on my A1200e and have the following weird connection error:
"Connection failure, please try again, error in socket::ope : error = 111"
Any idea why is that?

I'm having no problems browsing internet btw, so edge/gprs connection likely works fine. I've tried disabling "TCP" in EQO options as well, result doesn't change

TIA

re: peter

Hello,

I am not sure what that error means. We have asked Motorola to help us out with that.

Which carrier are you on? Do you know which GPRS settings you are using?

Cheers,

I'm on Beeline GSM company,

I'm on Beeline GSM company, major Russian operator. GPRS settings are (if that matters):
APN: internet.beeline.ru
username/paswd: beeline
Everything else is default.

Btw I receive "connection failed/ please try again/ 0010" error too (same connection way but after a way longer timeout)

I guess the error might be that some ports are closed by the carrier, but I have no idea how to check that.
Thanks anyway :)

Gennady

( * comment: internet explorer working on mobile very good )

re: 111 socket error

Hello,

It turns out that Motorola does not publish their error codes...so I am not exactly sure why your phone isn't connecting. I did look at the logs and I noticed that you have been able to connect in the past. Have you changed any of the settings on your phone?

Hello Peter, I don't think

Hello Peter,

I don't think it was me who had been able to connect, or was it to Sergey? :) I didn't change any settings.
It's pity that it still doesn't work for me.

Thanks for your support.

PS: would it be possible to implement email notification on reply?
