Giant iPhone Bills = too funny
Submitted by chris on August 14, 2007 - 11:02am.
Today in my brief morning jaunt through the blogosphere I came across this delightful video showing the opening of a giant 300 page iPhone bill. I find it absolutely hilarious that the new AT&T would spend the money on extra postage for an oversize letter, blatantly waste precious natural resources, and even bother to send a bill that big (because who really is going to read it all?). What was even in the bill? Every text message, call, and web page visited most likely. How long until e-bills are mandatory? For the environments sake, I hope soon.

It truly is astounding, isn't it? She goes on to explain her bill in a bit more detail, turns out there were a lot of Facebook and Twitter text messages: http://www.tastyblogsnack.com/2007/08/14/thanks/ I likely won't be starting the web cult, but I bet somebody will eventually. In the mean time, I'm sure you'll be able to find other means of worship, try http://ijustine.tv/. Anyway, interesting to hear your insight into billing and thanks again for another great comment. Can't believe that...
I work as a Bill layout developer for almost 6 years and I just can't believe AT&T would send 300 pages bill. Also I can't believe that somebody's usage might be so huge - imagine that there is around 30 events on the itemised page, that would make 60 events per sheet, multiplied by 300 is... ehm... really big number of events. ;-) E-bills should be the preferred option not only because of environments, but it also helps the companies to save their money (printing, postage...) and e-bill can be much more usefull even for customers, if they are feature-packed (full-text search, sorting, filtering, immediate on-line paying, etc...).
Let me know when you set up that web cult, I'll be more than happy to join you. ;-)
