EQO Symbian Beta is here!

The EQO Symbian Beta is here! This version differs from our J2ME version in that it is built natively for Symbian Series 60 3rd edition phones. The Symbian version offers many improvements over the J2ME version, but is also still a little rough around the edges being a beta and all. Since you are all my great friends, feel free to use my promo code "chrisr" for some extra sign up credit.

Get started on our Symbian Beta page and learn all about it. If you do decide to give the Symbian Beta a try, check out our Symbian Beta Forum for the latest news and bug reports. Users that fill in our Symbian Beta Survey will have a chance to win an EQO iPod Shuffle!

Supported Models:
3250, 5500, 5700, 6110 Navigator, 6120, 6121 classic, 6290, E50, E51, E60, E61, E61i, E62, E65, E70, E90, N71, N73, N75, N76, N77, N80, N81, N82, N91, N92, N93, N93i, N95

Cheers and thanks for testing!

I want more

Being a Nokia 3230 user, I'm very disappointed to find that you have no S60 2nd edition client. Hope you will release that too.

RE: I want more

We'd love to have native versions for all phones, but we just don't have the resources! I doubt we will ever make an S60 2nd edition native version. S60 2nd numbers are decreasing while S60 3rd numbers are increasing, maybe it's time to upgrade?

Installation failing on Nokia E50

I love my EQO so much so that I replaced my S60 2nd edition Nokia 3230 with S60 3rd edition Nokia E50, hoping to use EQO Symbian beta. But I'm getting an error message, something like "SIS file not supported", when I try to install the app after downloading. Trying again and again didn't help. I'm really confused because Nokia E50 is on your Symbian beta supported list. I have no problems installing other S60 and java signed and unsigned apps. Please help.

RE: Installation failing on Nokia E50

Strange problem, indeed the EQO Symbian Beta should work just fine on the Nokia E50. How are you trying to install? It be worth pointing your mobile browser to http://get.eqo.com/symbian to see if you can install that way. Please let me know if you require further assistance.
