2006: One Year at EQO

One year ago the powers that be took the ragtag startup founded in Colin Quon’s garage and turned it into EQO Communications, emerging mobile software superpower. It was an epic day bringing forth the profligacy of the colour orange and, more importantly, our mantra “take your buddies with you”. We were born a brand with a clear goal, to take mobile communications to the next level. We did do that with EQO Mobile, going through many highs and lows along the way. We’ve accomplished much thus far, but we have so much more to do.

Thanks be to our kind and not so kind users who brought to our attention their many comments and concerns regarding our services. We truly value the opinions and feedback of the many subscribers we’ve gained since our launch at Demo last February. We at EQO have learned greatly from user input and our own experiences (read mistakes!) and are now working tremendously hard to release an outstanding product in the New Year. We plan to support more phones in more ways with more features in one brand spanking new, super easy to use, blow your mind fantastic EQO Mobile. If it sounds incredibly awesome to you now, that’s because it’s going to be incredibly awesome, so keep your eye on us. Mmm, better make it both eyes.

Cheers to EQO users for trying our service and letting us know how great and not so great it is. Cheers to EQO for continually employing me and letting me spout off on occasion. Cheers to exciting times ahead and for what 2007 holds for us. Most importantly, happy New Year to all!
